Facebook will be getting a new chief security officer and Yahoo will be losing theirs as Alex Stamos, cybersecurity officer for Yahoo Inc. will be making a move to Facebook Inc.
Ironically, Stamos announced his move via Facebook with a post sharing that he would be starting with the social media company on Monday, June 29.
Past chief security officer of Facebook Joe Sullivan had made his own move from the company back in April and headed to Uber.
With a little over a year of experience at Yahoo, where he started in March of 2014, Stamos believes he is ready for the change to Facebook.
And with the company’s shares increase of 37 cents as of Thursday’s pre-market trading, now making them $89.23, Stamos will have a lot on his hands.
