Seemingly, stories of violent shootings have been taking over the news lately. In most cases, the perpetrator has no legal permission to carry a gun and the victims involved are innocent and unsuspecting.
Similarly in this incident that happened in Ohio, the victims were innocent and unsuspecting. However, the shooter was a licensed carrier and fired his weapon by accident.
An officer from Columbus, Ohio was trying to shoot an unstable dog who was charging at him. He arrived to help after a patrol at the scene made him notice that people were avoiding a dog being savage. In the chaos of the incident, the officer accidentally fired at a 4 year-old girl.
The girl was rushed to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition as of now. The officer who was helping a woman in her house from her charging dog had no intention of making such a mistake.
The incident took place at around 3 pm on Friday at Chandler Drive at Whitehall, Ohio. Hopefully, the little girl and her family come around soon enough and she can recover from this incident.
