360 Moto Watch Due this Summer

At the Google I/O Keynote, much was said about the Samsung Gear Live and the LG G Watch, but things were very quiet about the Moto 360 Watch. It is unfortunate, because the 360 has a few characteristics that separate it from the other two.

One unique characteristic is the look; the LG and Samsung have square faces while the 360 is round. The 360 design hits the mark; its premium-looking finish and well-placed notification widgets. The 360 also has leather bands, which can be swapped. The bands for the LG and Samsung are rubber. The 360 has been lauded as being able to pass as a fashion watch. There is only one visible button, similar to regular wrist watches. The 360 is devoid of a heart monitor.

The LG and Samsung watches will be released July 7, while the 360 does not yet have a release date. Google claims it will be available some time during the summer but has not given a date to the press. Some speculate the delayed released could build anticipation and boost sales. Google also has not seta  price for the watch, according to Tech Radar.

There does not appear to be a charge port. Many figure it will not be charged with wires, but rather with solar power or a charging pad.

Unlike the Samsung Gear 2, there is not a camera on-board; Google claims a camera would conflict with the design and purpose of the watch.
